Terms
The
small print.
Written to be read. Nothing here takes away the rights the law already gives you as a customer.
Who we are
EN¿GMA MADE is the trading name of Chris Doughty, a sole trader based in Scotland, at Codebase, 8–10 Corn Exchange Road, Stirling, FK8 2HX. You can reach us at hello@enigmamade.com. These terms cover enigmamade.com and shop.enigmamade.com. By buying from us or using the generators, you agree to them.
Buying from us
Prices are in pounds sterling and are the price of the goods. Any delivery charge is shown at checkout before you pay. Duties and taxes charged on import outside the UK are paid by the recipient, as explained on Shipping & returns.
The contract. When you pay, you make an offer to buy. We accept it when we email to confirm your order. We make garments in limited runs. If something turns out to be unavailable, or the price was plainly wrong because of a mistake on our side, we will tell you and refund you in full, and we won't send anything you haven't agreed to.
Delivery times and destinations are on Shipping & returns. The goods are your responsibility once they are delivered to you.
Changing your mind
The law gives you 14 days from the day you receive your order to cancel it, without giving a reason, and a further 14 days to send it back. We go further: you have 30 days from delivery. Items need to be unworn and unwashed with their tags on. Return postage is yours to pay unless the item is faulty or we sent the wrong thing. We refund the price and our standard delivery charge within 14 days of getting the goods back, to the card or account you paid with.
To cancel, email hello@enigmamade.com with your order number, or send us this wording: "I hereby give notice that I cancel my contract for the sale of the following goods: [items], ordered on [date] / received on [date], name, address, date." Any clear statement works.
If something is wrong with it
Your garment must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If it isn't, you have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015: a refund within 30 days, and a repair, replacement or refund after that. Email us with your order number and a photograph and we'll sort it out and cover the postage both ways. Nothing in these terms affects those rights.
The fitting room, the character generator and the customiser
These use an AI image model to make a picture of you wearing our garments. They are free, and they come with a few rules.
You must be 13 or over to use them.
Only upload what's yours to use. That means a photo of yourself, or of someone who has said yes, and designs you own or have permission to use. No celebrities, no film or TV stills, no other people's artwork or logos, and nothing explicit, hateful, illegal or intended to mislead or harass anyone. We can refuse or remove anything that breaks this, and stop you using the generators.
What happens to your photo. You keep every right in your own photograph. You let us, and the companies that run the model, use it only to make the picture you asked for. Our privacy page explains where it goes and how long anything is kept.
The result is a rendering, not a promise. AI pictures can get things wrong: the fit, the colour, the mark, even your face. The picture is not an accurate guide to how a garment will look or fit you. The product photographs and descriptions are what you are buying.
Using your picture. You can keep and share the picture for your own, non-commercial use. The EN¿GMA name and mark in it remain ours. Please don't use the picture to sell anything, or in a way that suggests we endorse you or something else.
The wall. If you press Send to wall, you let us show that picture on our public wall until you ask us to take it down. Email us and we'll remove it.
Limits. Each picture costs us real money to make, you can make up to three pictures a day with each email address, and every Regenerate counts as one. We may change the limit, or pause the generators, at any time.
Certificates of authenticity
Each garment comes with a certificate recorded on our public register. The certificate belongs to the garment, so it moves with the garment when it is sold or returned. Transfers need email confirmation from both the current and the new owner. We may correct the register if a record is wrong or a certificate has been copied.
Our stuff
The designs, photographs, videos, puzzles, words and the EN¿GMA name and mark on these sites belong to us or to the people we work with. Share links freely, but please don't copy or reuse them for anything commercial without asking.
Our responsibility to you
If we break these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of that. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses: our goods are for personal use. Nothing here limits our responsibility where the law does not allow it to be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for your statutory rights as a consumer.
Changes and the law
We may update these terms. The version on this page when you place an order is the one that applies to that order. These terms are governed by Scots law. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring a claim in the courts where you live, and you keep the protection of the consumer law there.
Got a problem? Email hello@enigmamade.com first. We'd always rather sort it out directly.
